Get even more control of your Albums
Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 6:29PM Google announced today that they are extending our privacy abilities to be able to lock albums, disabling resharing.
You can disable the ability for other people to share your album by locking the album or by locking the post that contains that ablum share. Once an album or post is locked, others won't be able to reshare the album, add +mentions or tags.
When an album or post gets locked a few things happen:
- New name tags created by others will become text tags. As the owner, you'll still be able to share your album when you add name tags to your photos.
- No one will be able to +mention others in comments.
- All Google+ posts about the album will also be locked, including posts created before the album was locked.
To lock albums & disable reshare through photos:
- Click on the photos homepage icon
in Google+. - Choose the album.
- Click the album visibility, Limited.
- Remove any unwanted circles or people from the album.
- Check the Lock this album box.
- Click Save.

There is quite a few options in this little triangle in the upper right hand corner. Here are some of the more basic thing's that can be done once you have completed your post…
1) Take note of the location of your post triangle.

2) One of the coolest features is the ability to Link to the post. If it is something you want to share with someone simply send them this link. Say it is a post by someone you follow and wanted to keep it for future reference, Simply copy and save this link and now you have the direct URL to the post and all the comments.

3) No a bit more control. Lets say you do not want to allow comments or re shares. No problem. Again simply click

a) Disable Comments
b) Disable Reshare

Now those options do not appear in the post window.
